Decades ago, people discovered an incredible anti-gravity particle (アンチグラビトン). Subsequently, various anti-gravity devices were invented using this particle. Among them, the invention of anti-gravity shoes (アンチグラビトンシューズ) made flying as simple and easy as riding a bicycle from then on.
However, due to current legal restrictions, not all areas can freely use anti-gravity shoes. Nevertheless, some areas can be opened for experimental purposes. Among them, the Yotushima Archipelago, consisting of four islands in the southern part of Japan, has the widest range of age groups using them, from the elderly to children, with students having the highest usage rate. Almost everyone uses anti-gravity shoes for daily commuting. Additionally, the invention of anti-gravity shoes led to the emergence of a sport called Flying Circus (飞行马戏フライングサーカス，abbreviated as FC).
The protagonist of this story, Akira Hinata, was once a promising FC player in his childhood. However, after a crushing defeat in a competition, he became discouraged and bid farewell to the world of FC, never flying again. But on his way to school one day, Akira meets a new transfer student, Asuka Kurashina. Through a series of events, they once again use anti-gravity shoes, reigniting Akira's passion for FC, and together with other characters, they weave a tale of youth and romance.
